This app is designed to be used by ABA professionals, parents, teachers, school aids, or anyone else who works with a child with special needs that requires prompting for any reason. The program can be used to send a prompt to the watch worn by the child either by pressing the appropriate button or it can be programmed to send a prompt every set number of minutes or seconds to aid the child in self-monitoring. The interval can be increased as the child is able to sustain attention for longer periods of time.
The program is intentionally designed to be simple as it is intended to merely replace old bulky prompting devices with an Apple Watch that can be discretely worn. This tool can be particularly effective for children on the autism spectrum disorder but can also be used as a prompting device in any other setting.
